ohhh lol i know what this is about. These are jokes about statistical methods. A lot of scientists are very pissy about p value being treated as a standard of proof for new studies.

Does anyone think we should transition from email to Google forms for submissions?

What do Google forms users think

for us personally, google forms helps us be more organized with our submissions! the form already creates a spreadsheet containing all the submissions so that eliminates the struggle of being organized and manually inputting info

yeah same! plus we get a lot of other emails like partnership opportunities, etc and keeping track of both that and subs would be a hassle imo

I think the tricky thing can be that there isn't a good way, to my knowledge, for submitters to check on the status of the submission (beyond emailing the journal directly). That can create issues if the journal sends a response to the submission and it goes to the submitter's spam, for example. Whereas with Submittable, the submitter can go in and check the status of the submission at any time on the platform itself -- regardless of whether or not they actually received the email notification for the response.
