Anyone here know anyone who has heard back from the Kenyon Developmental Editing Fellowship? I know I need to be patient, but I don't know what hearing back in "early part of 2025" means....before end of April? Fellowship begins in the spring I think. Thanks! 👀

submitted to a place that says to email if your submission is still outstanding after a set number of days. today is the day after that number, when is it a good idea to email and when is it bothersome to the editors?

Personally, I'd wait till mid-week but that's just me.

I applied for it and still haven't heard back yet. I could have sworn that when I applied they had said in the FAQ that the fellowship would start in February. I think they may have changed it to say Spring 2025 more recently. But maybe I misread it somehow?

Ok., got intel from a trusted source. Turns out that there has been some staff turnover that has delayed things (the next issue of Kenyon Review is under delay too) . My guess is that notifications must come, bc AWP is this weekend and Kenyon will go there and the fellowship starts in spring which is allegedly around the corner,

Might not be the same group of folks reviewing (I sent them a story rather than a fellowship app), but I just got a submission update from Kenyon letting me know that it'll likely be another month or two before they respond to my story, so this tracks with what you heard about staff turnover. Have you received any updates on the fellowship?

None and considering sending an email bc I am at a stalemate as I have another opportunity I’d like to pursue but can’t bc no word yet

Could indeed be different folks! Back in early Sept 2024 when I was wondering when the submissions call would open, I wrote a message to the generic fellowships email and received a reply with the change in the date from the Director of Youth Programming saying it would open in November
