TBH, the first time I go through suggested edits, I hyperventilate a little and feel mildly overwhelmed. Then I put it aside for an hour or two, come back to it, and realize things aren't so bad and, in fact, most of the suggested edits make complete sense and actually strengthen my piece. I'll give some push-back if I feel a suggestion is screwing with my intended meaning, and we might have some back and forth on that for clarification purposes.
