Best Small Fictions, the Best American Series, the Shirley Jackson Awards, the Pen/Dau Short Story Prize, and the O'Henry Prize are a few others worth looking into. Even if the writers don't win, they can put the nomination in their bio and CV if they like, so still worth nominating even if the odds are slim -- especially for writers who can't afford to submit to contests. Prizes and best-of anthologies can also help with getting on the radar of literary agents and bettering odds for fellowships/residencies. In most cases writers can't submit their own work for consideration, so it means a lot to me personally when I learn that an editor has taken the time!
