It feels gauche to ask for, say, a Pushcart nomination, but I'd love for a piece I published this year to be nominated for Best Spiritual Literature, and I published it in a more general pub (i.e. not a spiritual/religious venue). Do you think it's okay to reach out to the editors and mention it?
