One thing I didn’t know is that when you become an organ donor, you don’t necessarily control what they do with your body. So when you check the box, you imagine someone getting your liver or your heart and your life “continues” with your organs in a new body. Sometimes though, your body goes to a “body farm” where they study you decomposing in different situations, so maybe they throw you in a car trunk for a few days or float you in a pond, etc. and study how that effects decomposition. If they want to expose you to Sun, they can leave you out in a field in some sort of metal cage so the animals don’t eat you.
