Look, I don't owe anybody here ANYTHING. I got dogpiled on for asking a question. By EVERYBODY. If this is what the writing world is like, fine, I'll never write another word again. I've got a project that I'm currently getting ready for submitting, and after all that work, I'm seriously considering relegating it to the scrap pile. Along with every other project that I'm working on.
