Yeah, I don't pay to submit either. I just feel like I don't stand a chance in a paying market, though there are one or two who give personal rejections that I still submit to because feedback is extremely helpful. Maybe one day, they will accept my stories, who knows, but places like Asimov, are scary markets, and I know I can't compete.
