I think I started submitting quite young, so I had this weird experience where the first place I submitted (this small zine that has since gone defunct I think, although it's still online) I got accepted. And the second 😂. So I never had the chance to get injured to rejection the way I probably should have if I had started later on when more people are submitting in older age demographics so it's more competitive.
