Ha yeah, sometimes. I've mostly been accepted into newer magazines (2 on their very first issue) and it does feel like I'm not good enough for the more competitive mags, sometimes. I know submitting can be as much about luck as it is about writing, though, and competitive mags are, well, competitive. As good as our pieces may be, our odds are worse. I try to chalk it up to that more than my own worth or abilities as a writer
