This past week, I was rejected for a paid (remote) PT short term internship as a prose reader at a literary agency and the interviewer wrote a long paragraph to share I hadn't been selected as the finalist ...they were sorry....and it was one of the hardest things to share given how good I was...they had had a lovely conversation with me over the phone, but the other applicant had a truly "impressive phone interview"...good luck with your job search etc etc. I mean the rejection letter went on and on. 😣
