Would it be extremely gauche to reach out to an editor and ask for a Best Of nomination? Important context: this is for Best Spiritual Writing from a pub that is not spirituality-centric. I feel like it WOULD be gauche to ask in that case. But editors of more general pubs might not know that this is a thing or might not think to nominate for it.
