I always wonder about things like that. People from my MFA program whom I've never spoken to ask to follow me and while I appreciate it, I don't know what it means either. Still, it does sound like there's potential interest in seeing what you're up to?? But I don't know why they wouldn't just send a note to say "send us more work.."
