If you're thinking about submitting to our August issue, this issue is a good example of the range of formats and styles we look for. A few lighter / easier reads, a few denser / more complex pieces. Some experimental material. Some prose poetry, micro and longer form. I think the overall tone nails our guidelines: there are some heady, intense themes in some of the pieces, but the execution overall is restrained, approachable, and uses everyday language. And a little visual art in two of my favorite types: abstract digital photography and collage.
