You can automate this is many ways. DM me more info and I can help. For thedreadmachine.com, we just have certbot -q renew running monthly which auto handles renewing. This only works if you're doing your own hosting though, if you have a hosted solution, there may be special steps. For example, we have some sites on dreamhost.com and they take care of the certificate and renewal.
