"out there" is pretty vague, as far as it applies to poetry. Are we talking speculative poetry, or literary? Personally, I think it's a matter of researching poetry markets and finding ones that fit your vibe, because there are SO MANY out there that pay, and some that seem literary-only will publish speculative poetry, and vice versa. Highly endorse reading sample issues or sample poems from magazines to get a feel for what they offer (especially if they make those samples freely available online)
