Lol ... it's that Pick Me Syndrome, I think, like that one kid in high school that just had to be first and get everything they wanted every time. Pick me! Pick me! Sets off a bit of editorial surliness, at times. 😀 So, yea, my advice on that is to ignore timing and just send things along when you're pretty sure that you've polished them as much as you're going to.
