For me, I'm hearing even the big 5 is stripping the marketing plans for all but the most sure winners (i.e. famous people or huge names) and making authors do more. So for the indies, I'd hope they have any kind of advice/connections on how to market from this past books. I wouldn't guess they'll have a budget and do the legwork? (But I wish they would/could help!)
