if your work gets accepted by a magazine and then you don't hear any updates or communication from them for several months, how long do you guys usually wait before sending an email? i had a poem accepted by a poetry journal back in mid-march, and i haven't heard anything from them since then. i know they're a small mag with a small staff so i don't want to be too presumptuous, but i was wondering if it would be okay yet to send a polite email just inquiring about the timeline for the issue production and asking if they had any updates. if not yet, when would you do it?
