Just chiming in. That's a really interesting question - how much can a piece draw from protected IP before it's no longer "inspired by" or satire or parody, but just plain infringement? Taco Bell Quarterly's theme is exactly that, but I also think TBQ has approval from corporate, or at least the company is turning a blind eye.
