Settings, I think, are less of a problem, as long as they aren't original creations of another person. Lots of stories take place at McDonalds or Walmart, because those are places of public accommodation that make up the fabric of our real-world communities. Grady Hendrix wrote a book about a haunted Ikea. 🤷‍♀️
