I work in software so can confirm these prices, and not having lower priced tiers is unreasonable. It’s one thing if you’re building custom. That costs. It’s another if the software is built and you’re just flipping feature switches on and off depending on pricing tiers. There’s a lot of value-added services smaller publications don’t need. It’s becoming more and more obvious that small publications are more trouble than they’re worth for these companies.
