We’ve both worked for startups in the past where that was the only goal. And users just get screwed over because of it. And it drove us crazy because every decision came down to the bottom line. Like when we have an idea like “let’s have a fun dark mode to add some humor to things!” No one is at our shoulder saying “well how is that going to make us more money?”…it’s not. It’s just hilarious and makes things more fun for people
