but also (incoming flex im sorry) i've been submitting to the nyt learning network student contests for 2 years now. i never actually expected to get anything out of it (although i'd hope every time, when i read the winners entries it was clear my entry was subpar compared to them). about a week ago i won one of their contests. dedication is real.
